Ahhh, Paris! What joy our family shared there—riding to the top of the Eiffel Tower, cruising down the Seine River, biking through the back streets, finding treasures in the Louvre, playing in parks, eating croissants, and just soaking in the beauty.
After getting our fill, we headed to Spain, which remains one of our favorite countries. Three years ago, we had explored Madrid and the Andalusian area (in the south). This time, we rented a car and drove through the northeastern area, getting a taste of Basque life and visiting the fantastic Guggenheim museum in Bilbao. Then we immersed ourselves in Barcelona, which captivated us all with its youthful energy, rich cultural history, and artistic flair. Each day was filled with different and exciting activities, and we already feel the magnetic pull to return.
